Singapore Adventures 1

Well, back to our trip! (We have been home for over a month. It feels like a lifetime. i hate that.) We left Jakarta and headed back to Singapore. It is only about an hour an half flight, but it is kinda one of those adventures that takes all day.
The next morning we got up and headed out for some sightseeing and exploring.

We made our way towards this cool temple.

And i, of course, noticed how huge things were. i mean. geez. right!?!

And do not forget to be excited about 7 eleven in Singapore. cause, now it is OPEN! These signs were painted everywhere. I guess it's a cool hang for the younger ones?!

While some of us were out exploring, Gramps was a rock star and hung with my two lovely nieces. Though he doesn't do the Barbie thing-he does A LOT of other things. It's awesome to see how my the girls love and trust him. i LOVE that.
How do children "learn" to smile and not really get it right at all? and still be so CUTE?
We also got to see a Hindu temple on this day, but my pics weren't that amazing. what was amazing-there was a marriage re-dedication ceremony happening that day while we were there, and the couple had been together 60 years! whoa. That is awesome. Some days i think 60 years will be a piece of cake. and then there's days like today-when I'm crabby and rude and wish i didn't act like a snot. ugh.

Here's to hoping that 60 will be a lot more like good cheescake and less like lame selfishness.
