After reading about HeLa, I'm admittedly more sceptical about research and science.

And i received an invitation in the mail to participate in some more research-DNA sequencing and such.

My family is part of research regarding melanoma, cause we seem prone to it.

Some years ago, during a family reunion i gave about 5 oz of blood for research. I'm not very good with needles or with giving blood and as is usual, i got lightheaded and probably a little blue in the face. I'm a barista and i know how much an ounce is. The nurse said that it is "only 5oz." This actually made it worse,  not better. For all those non-baristas-that's equal to about 5 shots of espresso (and most drinks come with about 2 shots {2 oz}. anyways, i survived. obviously.

While part of me thinks this research is cool and important, i also just don't have it in me to deal with this right now.

so, along with many other things, this letter and request is just going to get filed.
