Today in History

An attitude of humility requires willingness to explore competing ideologies and to
identify the fault lines and short comings of our own beliefs as well as those of others.
~C. McSpadden

I'm learning a lot about the importance of humility in the midst of exploring and talking about competing ideologies. I want this for myself and others as this day in American and world history will bring newness and change. Will i engage with others in these conversations? Can i see my own fault lines?

I like this picture that i received over email:

6 months ago, i wouldn't have been a voter, and i wouldn't have cared about having dialogue about differences. I would have been silent. Today, i can at least say that i voted. And that i am working towards humility in the midst of these kind of conversations. And this is a change for me.
