Another One

My birthday was full. fun. fulfilling.

After an overwhelming week at school, I was ready to play and rest by the time Jeff got here. I picked him up from the airport with a fun sign and it just got better from there. We slept in and got up early. We stayed up late and had a lot of good talks. Messing around at the Pacific Science Center was hilarious and then we had a picnic/fire on the beach for dinner! It was freezing and the high schoolers that were blowing things up in the fire pit right next to us were annoying me, but i still loved being on the beach for my birthday. (I guess i sorta got something against loud, rowdy, disruptive high schoolers. hmmm. maybe it's the top of the world, totally self absorbed and rude thing that bothers me. My patience wears thin in those moments, I admit it.) Jeff helped me get registered to vote. and we had a great game night with old and new friends. much laughter and good snacks. just what i wanted for my birthday. i received more text messages, emails and phone calls than i knew what to do with. We had breakfast with M&J. I even got a smidge of homework done before we went out to dinner at a little Italian place close to my home in the neighborhood of Ravenna, the city of Seattle, the state of Washington. We also went on a great walk on a brisk day to the lake that is close to my house. Siting on a park bench and taking pictures in the fall leaves....sweet.
There were many more moments. I'm thankful to finally be 29. I loved being with Jeff, roommates and friends this birthday. And it made it very hard to head back to school today. very hard.
