a friend recently told me she is pregnant. and the sweet surprise was shared by a packet of seeds coming out of her pocket! plant the seeds, pray for her, them, the growing child. Hope.
i planted the seeds about a week ago. i have no idea if the soil is any good. but i have been faithful to water. hope.
M has sweetly offered to have a bridal shower for me. and to go dress shopping. and her celebration with me, i need that. i just don't always take my time and slow down. i miss so much that way. and so, celebration! dresses! a wedding! bright hope for an amazing future with an amazing man. and an old friend, who stands so faithfully by me. hope.
Classes for this semester are about over. i have worked so hard this year. so much personal work and reflection. it has been more than daunting at times. i have not had much balance in all of it, but i am so aware of many areas of strength and room for growth. passion being refined. weaknesses brought into the light. and much encouragement. It is good.
i spent the weekend in Denver. so many loved ones in Denver. i needed the reminder. the beautiful stars in Arvada. my sister. my brothers. the sunshine. my fiance. sigh. it was nearly impossible to leave. and that's because it was so good.
Faith. Hope. Love.
hope for what has been. hope in what is to come. hope for this moment.
