Everyone has blood on their hands. You can wash it all away, just sing this song to the world.
~J. Eliassen
Something on the road, cut me to the soul. Your pain has changed me, your dream inspires, your face a memory, your hope a fire, your courage asks me what I'm afraid, and what i know of love.
~Sara Groves
You hold on as well as you're able. You've been here a long long time. Hope
has a way of turning it's face to you, just when you least expect it....but it
feels like it might be hope.
~Sara GrovesIf we'd get up off our knees Why then we'd see the forest for the trees And we'd see the new sun rising Over the hills on the horizon There's gold in them hills There's gold in them hills So don't lose faith Give the world a chance....
~Ron Sexsmith
Sometimes i really like how deep songs go. Sometimes my heart just can't engage with it. For all the beauty in these lyrics, I've been sad about the hurt that lives in our hearts, that we often don't share with others, that we even cause in others lives. Maybe it's the hope and beauty that reflect to me the feeling of pain....
Maybe it's the pain and then the hope. And i wish i was ready for the hope, but i cry because i feel the pain.
These are the days i seriously doubt any capabilities i might have as a counselor.
