Today what I love about my new job is that we talked about how we can help Girls Become Women. Mentoring them along that path, and being intentional. Another cool part was that I attended a new Match Intro, where a little brother meets his Big Brother for the first time. It was so precious! The Big Brother jumped right in and was connecting well, and the Little Brother wanted to show off his skateboarding abilities! This makes it a great day!
Yesterday what I loved about my job was that I was learning all about Child Molestation AND checking into some books that tie spiritual matters in to this topic. I want to learn more about this to better help protect children. I am encouraged that others have done some research and written books that can help me.
All of this also carries over to Africa. I can see these skills and learning opportunities being very transferable to working with kids in Africa. And this makes it an even better job!
