My garden that is.
My water timer broke and it was real hot out.
Then I was kinda feeling busy and stressed and just didn't get out there very much.
And now most of my peppers are red (when they could have been green.)
And basically all my corn is brown and dry. shoot.
The tomatoes are out of control and the cucumbers kinda plug away whether i pay them any attention or not.
the cilantro gave up a long time ago and the basil just wants me to let it go to seed already!
The carrots are not as big as I'd hoped, but I'm watering them more and giving them some more time.
I got stung the other day trying to pick some corn before it was totally lost. right in the middle of my palm. Then the next day I leaned up against my fence and got stung again! i know it could be worse, but i get all swell-y and itchy. Don't like it one bit.
And, i wish i had way more color in the yard. Like bouquets and bouquets of color that i could bring in the house to enjoy too. but if there is just one or two blooms, i just don't feel like i can cut them off.
I think some things are just not in the right spots (too much shade), while the bindweed enjoys every square inch.
I did serious battle against goat heads this year. and sumac sprouts. Go away you nasty buggers.
And, we are getting a free tree for our front yard, cause we live in a neighborhood that needs more trees! I'm real hopeful and excited.
