My new job will take me closer to the land of fairies and children's hearts. Working for Big Brothers Big Sisters should be a great learning opportunity and fun environment. I start right after my trip to China, and I'm looking forward to having my days count for more than hot drinks and quality foam.
One organization in my searching had these three goals: Restore childhood. Protect children. Prevent abuse. I love these dreams and want to be a part of restoring childhood too.
A Long Way Gone is an amazing book about a child soldier that inspires me to get back out there and start loving on these kids. I want to go back to Africa. Hug kids in Northern Uganda. Paint pictures, blow bubbles and tickle bellies.
But it's not time yet.
